What your program is built on.
Every program generated here traces to published frameworks, clinical guidelines, and research — the same instruments physical therapists, clinicians, and strength coaches use. Here's the foundation, in plain terms.
Your movement screen is a clinical instrument
Before anything is loaded, movement is screened with the Functional Movement Screen (Gray Cook's 21-point, 7-pattern instrument, used across professional sport) — and corrective work, when your screen calls for it, follows the NASM corrective-exercise continuum. Joint hypermobility is checked with the Beighton score, the standardized 9-point clinical exam.
The fascial map comes from Anatomy Trains
The whole-body connective-tissue system your training moves through is mapped by Thomas Myers' Anatomy Trains — the myofascial meridian model — supported by the modern fascia research literature on how connective tissue adapts to load over months and years, not weeks.
Loading follows strength-science standards
Sets, reps, tempo, and rest follow the NSCA's Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning. You never test a one-rep max — your working loads are estimated from safe submaximal sets (the Epley and Brzycki methods) and adjusted week to week by how your sessions actually go.
Special situations follow clinical guidelines
Pregnancy and postpartum programming follows ACOG guidance — including its warning signs, printed in your program, and a hard rule that no program is written without your provider's clearance. Bone-density programming keys off your physician's DEXA scan. Programs for arthritis, older adults, and hypermobility each follow their condition's published clinical evidence — and every one of them defers to your doctor on anything medical.
Even the supplements are protocol, not preference
Recommendations like collagen with vitamin C before training come from the published research on timing and dose — always presented as advisory, always routed through your physician when medications are involved.
None of it is one trainer's opinion. The screens, the safety gates, the doses, the stop criteria — each traces to something published. Your coach's job is judgment inside that system. The system's job is making sure the judgment starts from evidence.
This list is representative, not exhaustive. Stand Aligned Labs synthesizes these published sources into its programming methodology; no endorsement by or affiliation with their authors or organizations is implied. Nothing here is medical advice — diagnosis and treatment stay with your healthcare providers.
