Privacy Policy

This is a standard template describing our actual data practices below. It has not been reviewed by an attorney — have it checked against your local requirements before relying on it as a binding legal document.

What we collect

Clients (the people your trainer coaches): we do not collect a client's real name, email, phone number, date of birth, or address. Clients are identified only by a generated, non-identifying handle (e.g. "Quiet-River") chosen when your trainer adds you. Movement, injury, and program-preference data you provide through a questionnaire is used solely to generate your training program.

Trainers (account holders): we collect the email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) used to create and sign in to a Trainer Studio account.

How we use it

To generate and store training programs, session logs, and related records tied to a trainer's roster.
To authenticate trainer sign-in and maintain a signed-in session.
To send account-related email (e.g. password reset) via our transactional email provider.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use client health or movement data for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

A single HttpOnly session cookie keeps a trainer signed in after login; it cannot be read by page scripts and expires automatically. A client's one-time access token is stored in the browser's local storage on the device they sign in from, so they don't need to re-enter it each visit.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with a managed cloud database provider and is not shared with third parties except as needed to operate the service (e.g. our email delivery provider, for sending account emails).

Data retention and deletion

A trainer can archive a client record at any time, which revokes that client's access token. To request deletion of your data, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

This service is intended for use by adult trainers and the clients they coach. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
